Wat Phra Kaew

Wat Phra Kaew is the most important Buddhist temple in Thailand.
It is located in the historic center of Bangkok, within the grounds of the Grand Palace.

Construction began in 1782, when King Rama I moved the capital of Siam from Thonburi to Bangkok.
Unlike most temples, no monks reside here.
The complex is renowned for its richly decorated buildings, impressive statues, and beautiful pagodas.
