Buriram’s Khmer-temples

Prasat Muang Tam and Phanom Rung Historical Park are important Khmer temples in Buriram, Thailand.
Both complexes were built between the 10th and 13th centuries as Hindu sanctuaries dedicated to Shiva.

Phanom Rung is located on an ancient volcanic site and is known for its impressive architecture and sunrise phenomenon.
Prasat Muang Tam is famous for its five towers and four L-shaped lotus ponds.
The temples are only a few miles apart and are often visited together.
Together, they represent an important example of Khmer heritage in Thailand.
