As far as the eye could see in the streets of Surabaya, the crowds were so dense you could have walked over people’s heads.

Local residents and tourists had turned out in large numbers for the culinary event.

Young and old alike enjoyed the special dishes and listened to beautiful music, whose sounds drifted through the avenues and streets like a woven tapestry.
