Thanh Toan Tile-Roofed Bridge

During my visit to Hue, Vietnam, my assistant, Ms. Thùy Phương, took me to the village where she grew up.
We traveled about 10 kilometers through the beautiful Vietnamese countryside.

Along the way, we passed monuments, small temples, and historic homes before arriving in Thanh Toan, a village famous for its old tile-roofed bridge.

The Thanh Toan Tile-Roofed Bridge spans a canal in Thanh Toan Village, located about 5 miles east of Hue.
This unique bridge is a rare example of traditional Vietnamese architecture and is valued for its historical, cultural, and scenic significance.
