Huế city area
Huế is the capital of Thừa Thiên-Huế Province in Vietnam and has a population of approximately 340.000. The Perfume River flows through the city.
Huế is also home to the Tam Giang–Cầu Hai Lagoon, the largest lagoon in Southeast Asia, stretching 68 kilometers (42 miles) with a water surface area of about 22,000 hectares (54,000 acres).
Some of the city’s most notable attractions include Thiên Mụ Pagoda, the Mausoleum of Emperor Minh Mạng, the Imperial City of Huế, the War Memorial (Đài Tưởng niệm Chiến Sĩ Trận Vong), Quoc Hoc High School, and Huyền Không Temple.
